Vauxhall sees ‘record’ retail orders for new cars in March

Posted on May 23, 2022

A fifth of Vauxhall retail sales in March were ordered online.

Vauxhall said the result marked a ‘record month’ for online sales for the manufacturer and highlighted the acceleration of online automotive retail since the pandemic.

The eCommerce stores were built and managed by eCommerce company drivvn.

Buyers using the Vauxhall online store can personalise their finance and are given an estimated delivery date before ordering. Free home delivery comes as standard.

Peter Brown, CEO of drivvn, said: “Vauxhall is at the vanguard of automotive retail, which gives buyers an unprecedented choice in how they make their purchase.

“A contact centre supports the customer journey, and they have a wealth of information at each stage of the process.

“Our technology is helping manufacturers and retailers connect a seamless experience for the customer. A true omnichannel approach is built around the customer, and our data clearly shows they prefer to do their research and make important decisions online.”
