Close Brothers launches remote electronic signature service

Posted on May 23, 2022

Close Brothers Motor Finance has enhanced its Hire Purchase (HP) product offering, enabling business customers to be able to sign their agreement electronically.

The remote electronic signature solution allows business customers and their guarantors to sign for their finance agreement from anywhere, at any time, whether that’s in the dealership, or from the comfort of their own home.

Witnesses will need to be present with the customer when they sign and acknowledge they have seen the customer physically sign in their presence, however this can also be done remotely offering greater convenience.

Rebecca Cullen, Product Manager at Close Brothers Motor Finance, said: “We have been on a digital mission at Close Brothers Motors Finance. We have worked hard behind the scenes and with our dealer partners to ensure our offering meets their needs. This unique enhancement continues to push the bounds of what can be achieved. We as a business strive to be forward thinking, always putting both dealer and customer needs at the heart of our processes. And through our digital capability, we can provide the ability to continue aiding in making flexibility a priority and streamlining the buying process for everyone.”

All eligible dealer partners will have access to the electronic sign solution, which aims to streamline processes and make buying a vehicle as flexible as possible for both dealers and customers.
