The wait for Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the Porsche 911 is soon to be over and the veil will be removed off of the all-new Mercedes AMG GT on September 9th.
Mercedes-Benz has kept their 911-fighter under wraps for a while, literally. With it taking to tracks and local road for testing, the AMG GT is their “Development without Compromise” as they are touting. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will essentially replace the SLS AMG and will have an output of 462 to 510 horsepower, which basically means there will be multiple variations, just like the 911 in some ways. The all-new AMG GT was developed independently of Mercedes-Benz by the brand’s sport-tuning division AMG. Still, no doubt that it will be nothing short of a Mercedes-Benz, just more in the AMG performance flavor.
